I am writing to inform you of the current situation at Skin Integrity.  As many of my clients are aware, I recently suffered a shoulder injury whilst Mountain Biking in New Zealand.  It seems that my body doesn't bounce quite as well as it used to!  As a result of this injury I have had surgery but I am now back at work.  I am currently unable to perform skin checks or surgical procedures but I am able to perform cosmetic anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.

Unfortunately one of my competitors is informing people that I will no longer be performing Cosmetic procedures.  This is simply untrue.  Now is actually a good time to have a cosmetic procedure at Skin Integrity as availability will be good for the next few weeks while I am not doing skin cancer work.  When I return to full duties I anticipate appointments will be less readily available as I catch up on the back log of skin cancer work.

I appreciate the messages of support I have received following my accident.  I will be making a full and complete recovery and hope to get back on my bike in a couple of months.

Dr Wassall was fortunate to be invited to attend a dermal filler and anti-wrinkle injection Masterclass with Dr Maricio de Maio on 30th September. This Masterclass was restricted to advanced, experienced injectors and only seven doctors were in attendance.

Dr de Maio is a Brazilian Plastic Surgeon and widely considered to be one of the top cosmetic educators and injectors in the world. He has published numerous articles and textbooks on advanced dermal filling techniques. He has pioneered several advances in the field. The Masterclass was comprehensive and looked at evaluation and diagnosis as well as injection technique.

Dr Wassall has picked up some valuable tips that he hopes to incorporate into his practice. He is very pleased to have been given the opportunity to bring the latest and most innovative techniques to Skin Integrity.

Dr Neil Janes will be offering skin examinations from 5pm onwards on the fourth Thursday evening of each month. This service is designed to allow access to services to patients that have difficulty attending during normal business hours.

After hours appointments are for skin checks only. There is no nursing support and procedures aren't performed. If procedures are required an appointment during normal business hours will be required.

Bulk billing is not available after hours but a medicare rebate is available for the consultation fee.
